I watched the story about the Columbia, SC cop killer, Gerald Mason last night. I've read articles about the investigation, but last night they had some interesting documentation on tracing his handgun. It was an H&R 929 .22 revolver 9 capacity, bought at Sears under an assumed name (I think Gerald Wilkes). But the fingerprints and handwriting matches 50 years later are what confirmed he was the guy. Interesting story.
