@Catfish and I were in the shop yesterday and he brought up the fact that we haven't had another Sporting Clays shoot in almost 3 years.
So, with that thought in mind who would be up to get another one together between now and Christmas?? The date is open at this time so make a suggestion if/when you reply.
The course of fire would be the same as last time, you can shoot the full Monty of 100 shots or shorten it up to 50 shots, your option.
Don't use not having a capable gun as an excuse as I have several Remington's (semi auto's (12 & 20 ga) and pumps (20 ga) and a Beretta or 2 (12 ga) that I can loan out. Just don't be wrapping them around trees if/when you miss.... LOL....
Let's hear your thoughts.... This can be done on a Sat or Sunday and most likely at Hunting Creek as last time.
I'm awake and I'm in. Going to catch hell because I am having an issue with my right elbow healing after the motorsickle wreck but sometimes one has to do what one has to do.
Bailey, let me know if I can help with lunch. I'll give you a shout tomorrow or first of the week.
I'll bring a golf cart and you are welcome to ride with me. Bailey used to ride with me but he kept putting his hand on my leg. If you do have to rent it's $10 per cart so $5 per person.
You said that WASN'T your leg!!!! Liar....
As for the cart, I'll ride/split with someone, the uphill kills my knees. The downhill part is fine, I get into my fetal position and just roll to the next station....
I went the last time and had a great time out there. Hunting Creek does it right. Unfortunately next weekend is pretty short notice for me. If we can do this sometime after Christmas I would love it. Just have a lot to deal with right now.
Gonna be Wed before I can commit. Mini me wants to come but we are waiting to see if her hunter safety team is shooting Sunday. They meet Wed after school.
This sounds like a standard propaganda reply to every shooting event, but it's true! You'll be sorry if you don't participate. It's a lot of fun, regardless of experience level. There will be all levels of experience present: from old timers who must have nothing else better to do than practice shooting clays (and never miss), to the common folk who are happy to break 30-40% of the shots.
As far as I'm concerned, you are welcome to come and watch.However.. If you need a shotgun with very little kick, I've got a sweet 20ga that kicks only slightly more than a 22. You are welcome to shoot it.
That goes for everyone. I have a safe full of shotguns if anyone needs one.
I'm not sure if I'll be there or not. I've had a bunch of side work pop up for this weekend that's hard to walk away from with medical bills rolling in from the baby.
I also need to have a count on who may need a gun. I don't want to drag the entire safe up there.....
I have 2, 1187's, 2, 1100's (all 12 ga) 2, Rem Wingmasters in 20 and 28 ga and a Beretta AL2 in 12 ga. Not going to bring my O/U's except for the one's I plan to shoot.
They also have some rental guns in the Pro Shop in case you don't like mine.
Let me know....
I wish I could join you guys. I'll be working Saturday.
Hope you all have fun.
