This is sort-of 1911 related. I ran across a guy at a gun show who made 1911 display stands. I bought his last two. I haven't seen him since. I know that I could build them without too much trouble, but for $10 apiece I'd just as soon buy them. Does anyone here make them or have a source? Maybe for a Ruger MKII also. Something like this. Thanks

I've made some for my own use.
Tuner has one I made for 1911s that folks bring to his kitchen table.
    I couldn't make one for $10, though!

That was me! December was my last show since I thought I was moving to 'Bama in January. Turns out that won't happen until next month. I think I have six stands left in a gray "stone fleck" finish, but I'll have to check in the morning. They were $12 each but if anybody here wants them they can have them for $10. I'm close to the speedway off Hwy. 29.

Several members have expressed interest in purchasing stands, and I appreciate the interest. I will make more, but it will most likely be a couple of months before I'm set up again. I usually make 20 at a time, and I will post a new thread when they're available. I will have to ship them - unless you want to do a FTF in central Alabama!

My son was sorting and packing a few things in the garage yesterday and came across a box with nine stands in it. Two are spoken for, so I have seven available at $10 each plus shipping. Who's interested?

Ill take two more, are they the same stone fleck? I also notice the first picture, the base looks longer, as mine is a 3.8 inch barrel, are these the same or do they have the longer base like in the first picture?

    Four down, three left.
They are all the gray stone fleck finish. I'll have to check the length when I get home this weekend. At one point I shortened the base length slightly so I could get a better material yield, but it did not affect the stability at all.

I finally found the box that I had packed the 1911 stands in! I have six available, all in the dark stone finish. They are $10.00 each plus $10.00 shipping for up to four stands. If somebody wants all six, you can have them for $65.00 shipped. I can't do ftf since I'm in Alabama for the time being.
