Here's my dirty beat up Norinco wearing Balkan War Battlefield Pickup furniture. I'm wanting to switch it up with some plum magpul furniture.

Well, in a blisteringly-quick turn of events, I returned the Zhukov and bought an Arsenal SLR-107FR.

    SLR
    SGL

Well, here's the AK 5.56 project. The Kreb's safety lever is en route now. And I have yet to decide on a pistol grip. The standard is simply too small, and doesn't allow me a good purchase. I've owned the Magpul before, but I'm thinking that perhaps a US Palm might be worth looking into. I do plan to put eventually throw a Bulgarian Krink flash hider on instead of the standard brake, but we'll see how that goes too. In good time, this will end up being quite an awesome project.[IMG]

I have the US Palm. I like it and the standard, just depends on mood to be completely honest. Still don't like the Magpul.
I threw the US Palm on after the family pic above. Keeps a similar angle as the standard, but with more "butt" to fill the hand... and who doesn't love a hand full of butt?

I love AKs. All forms and countries of origin.

In order: Saiga .410, Saiga 5.45x39, Polish Tantal 5.45x39, Zastava Opap, Lancaster Arms milled, Romanian Draco
The .410 was the first Saiga I ever converted. The Lancaster is an anomaly; it has a stainless steel barrel and milled receiver. The Draco I just bought last week and have since removed the muzzle nut and awaiting SBR permission for it.

A buddy of mine picked up a Tantal recently... I forgot how much I like them.

Yeah, they're sweet as long as they don't keyhole, although from what I've seen, the whole keyholing issue with some of the CAI Tantals may have been blown out of proportion.

My sample shooting size of three Tantals has never shown any key holing, but I generally take CAI issues at exactly the proportion they're blown out to. At least in past years. They really have gotten better.

Yeah, CAI's past track record is slightly less than stellar. My Tantal didn't keyhole in the least either, though. I will say that out of all the AKs I've ever owned, the Tantal had the most immaculate build quality. The Poles definitely know how to build a gun.

It's magpul fde that I duracoated in the garage. I want the magpul black furniture but it doesn't look bad as it is and the magpul stuff isn't enough of an upgrade to justify.

The ultimak and primary arms red dot really changed the rifle dynamics. It is way, way, way easier to transition between targets compared to the blade sights.
