Hey guys and gal. I got some bullets/brass in and wanted to share.
http://www.blackoutbrass.com/
First impressions are threw the roof. Brass looks way better then I've ever been able to clean, trim, and resize 223/556 brass. There are no dents or ding on the case, neck, or mouth. Primer pockets look great and have been de-crimped. With the combo price of brass and bullets I don't think I'll be trimming 556 brass anymore.
I've seen a lot of cast bullets and must say these are on par with all the best. The coating is even and a sweet red color.
The host rifle will be an Auger Precision Firearms (http://augerprecisionfirearms.com/) SBR with a 10.5" Integrity Arms (http://www.customar15.net/) barrel. The silencers are SilencerCo. Saker 762 as well as a Griffin Armament Revolution 45.
When I work up some loads I'll post them up as well as the videos.
Sorry for the Cell Phone pics and if you have any load data you'd like to see these tested with let me know and I'll give it a try.
Here is what I loaded today as well as how it performed.
I pulled ten bullets and ten pieces of grass and measured them.
All ten bullets were .308. The brass ranged from 1.357-1.363 but most were 1.360.
I did some looking trying to find load data for H110 subsonic and was a little put off by the lack there of. So I did what most of would do I put down my beer and loaded some rounds(JK on the beer I loaded these at 830AM). Here is what I found. The sweet spot for my gun will be around 8.8-9.6 grains of H110. I loaded five rounds of the following and chronoed them.
I'd like to say thanks to LevelLineBrad for letting me use his chrono and back yard.
These would NOT cycle the bolt.
7.6 gr of H110 OAL 2.007-2.010
945 FPS
944 FPS
985 FPS
937 FPS
964 FPS
These would cycle the bolt but would not hold the bolt open on the last round.
8.6 gr H110 same OAL as above.
1036 FPS
1036 FPS
1046 FPS
1024 FPS
1013 FPS
This was a great load and I think it may be the most reliable. It cycled great and held the bolt open. It might be a little hot as it is close to super sonic, but I know it works.
9.6 gr H110 same OAL
1134 FPS
1141 FPS
1148 FPS
1113 FPS
One didn't read but it sounded like the rest.
This was more then needed but they were loaded so I shot them. Bolt held open and cycled just fine.
10.7 H110 same OAL
1234 FPS
1239 FPS
1205 FPS
1197 FPS
1186 FPS
