    There's been...
    • A lot less posting
    • Quite a few MIA members
    • General apathy
I know the site has changed, heck I feel it too. Are all the "Old Timers" moving on?

I have been in chat for usually 8-9 hours a day. I keep the window open at work. Normally there are 27-36 people in chat during the day. Lately, it's been a struggle for it to hit the 'teens. A lot of old-timers and newcomers have uprooted and gone to the new place.

The structure of this sight is much better and easier to browse. That said most of the funny bones and common posters have moved over. I'm still checking both and it seems that there is an upgrade coming. This site has a much bigger base of people if your looking at classifieds.

This site has been up and running for YEARS. The other has been alive for merely weeks. I initially thought the "Mass Exodus" would flop, but it's gaining momentum like a fat girl on a skateboard downhill.

My wife won't let me post her posing with my guns here anymore. She gave the green light at the new place though, I just haven't gotten around to it.

Yeah I'm active there for all intent as a full time member. But I still check here for things. It seems like most of the post from active members lately has been by the same 5-6 which 3 have an defined purpose to keep it rolling.

I was waiting for a certain section to be fully operational over there, as many of the pictures are NSFW.

Yeah there's a huge difference in activity there vs here. You can tell that the top posters really made this site and they've all moved on. I'm still waiting on someone to "allow" me access to my own content here so that I can remove it all and then I'm done too.

You can't edit your old posts? I was able to go into mine, I tested it, and it worked.

i just dont think thats going to happen, and even if you delete the data on the server to display it, i guarantee you they'll have a backup of info for sale.

I've got quite a few posts that only have "report" available for an option. "Delete" has been removed from everything which is what I want. The terms I signed up under said nothing about CSC owning my posts and actually absolved them of any responsibility meaning the full responsibility is mine, therefore, I own the posts and they're restricting my right to delete my content.

Edit the post, and just put the word "REDACTED" in place.

I'm sure they have backups but it's not likely they have backups for individual members. If it's anything like the forums I've run in the past, it's more of a timeline thing and restoring some will mess up others. I could be wrong though. Either way, it's my content, I never signed my rights away to it, and I want to delete it.

Just delete it a few posts at a time. Eventually the backups won't go that far.

They are not going to let you erase your history here, nor should they. They own the content of the forum.

I don't know why you would even want to except out of spite for an action that did you no harm and doesn't change one thing about your existence.

Because it was posted to a forum owned by Pro-2A people, and that is no longer true.

I can still edit mine. Strange.

I don't know why it's any of your business but this forum is no longer what it once was and many of us don't like what it now stands for and represents. I don't want to be associated with it, I don't want my information available to the new owners, and I don't want to contribute to the forum. Thus, I want my posts erased. Further, I never gave any authorization to CSC as to ownership of my posts or information posted to this site so they most certainly do not own my content.

You post on a public forum it's anybody's business that wants to comment. As far as ownership, you're just mistaken.

If I'm mistaken then go ahead and show me in the old terms and conditions where it says that.

It's how the internet works, whatever you put out there is no longer yours. It has nothing to do with this particular website.

I seriously thought you were more rational than this.

No, that's not how the internet works. You may run into people STEALING your content and there's not a whole lot you can do about that (other than potentially issue a DMCA take down notice). However, just because it's the internet doesn't mean that it's free reign for anyone to take whatever they want. To assume that it is is irrational. There's a reason that forums have a T&C that you digitally "sign" when you join. Part of it is for crap like this, to establish ownership rights. CSC did not do that in the past.
