Have a good IWB that i like a ton. Going to try out OWB under fleece jacket and sweatshirts this winter and see how it goes. Looking for recommendations for a good owb (not crazy expensive) specifically for concealed carry.. also interested in leather vs. kydex opinions. pistol is CZ p01

If you search Chief Jason Holsters….I cant recommend them enough. Well made, great materials, easily a 10 year holster with everyday wear. The group here agrees. If you want fancy OWB, Gunbelt (Two Fools Leather Goods) on here makes some sexy exotics. Both these guys do top notch work. Kydex is cool, but will mark a gun up pretty quickly, but it certainly has its place. But not near as comfortable as leather (flexiblity). CJ makes kydex/leather hybrids too.

Several people have recently posted some of CJ holsters pics on here too. And they are under $70.00 shipped for an awesome holster.

I came here to apparently tell you what everyone else has. @chiefjason is the place to go for holsters. I tried some from my LGS's, and was really disappointed.

I also highly recommend Chief Jason holsters as well. MTR Custom Leather...another forum sponsor...also makes good leather OWB gear.

All of my carry holsters are CJ's with the oldest one for my 1911 Defender. I just ordered (and received) a new one since the back leather was letting the butt ride a little too far away from my body. Bear in mind that I carry every day, day after day and the old holster was pushing 7 years on my butt. I call that damned good service life for something carried daily.

In addition to the ones already mentioned and I second MTR, great stuff, not yet had a chance to try one from the Chief.

Look at Don Hume 721OT. That has become my go to holster for everything I carry.

I've bought nine of Jason's holsters and mag pouches. The only thing I carry in now is his all leather pancake OWB. I've got a couple of other things of his I use occasionally when necessary, but 95% of the time the OWB leather.
    A+

You might try the Galco Side Snap Scabbard. Easy on / Easy off. Also, the P-01 should fit well in many of the Galco hoslters for the Glock 19. You are welcome to borrow mine for a trial run. Also, in my experience the Raven Concealment Phantom holsters are among the best options. They are kydex, thin, hold super tight to the body with the pancake wings, and easily convert to IWB. Honestly, the Raven Concealment Phantom would be my first choice.

Here is the P-01 in a Galco Side Snap Scabbard designed for the Glock 19.
