Nice 1911. A stock one would be my second choice to the SR1911. Mainly because of my preference for Ruger revolvers, and that would lead me to the SR1911 as first choice.

Here is my "slightly modified" Ruger SR1911 CMD. I decided to personalize mine a little since I didn't really like the two-tone factory look. This Commander sized 1911 is an excellent shooter....

image.jpg image.jpg With my daughter just out of college tuition-debt free (courtesy her parents), being single/divorced, AND working retail (why didn't I be a banker like everyone else in my family?), new anything is hard to rationalize. BUT, my acquisition last week:

    Ok, first of all...
Nice Sig! They make a danged fine 1911...

Second, I thought it was a flashlight in the trigger, and then figured out what it was...lipstick!!

"Robin" CAN be a guy's name (before somebody chimes in how ignorant, sexist, or misogynistic I am), and I was wonderin' what the hell some dude named Robin was doing with lipstick.....

So this ^^^ is my official first (of many) entry in the TIFU thread!!
    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

    SOOOOO....

Here's a pic of me early (very early) Christmas present from me wifey!

Here's my 9mm 2011 project that I've been working on. Almost done with it. I forgot to order the extractor so I'm waiting on that to arrive. I shot it yesterday as a single shot and it seemed like it was working normally. Loaded from the magazine and hit slide lock after the shot. I've got the Silencerco sights fitted already. I still have to blast the metal and coat with black Moly Resin. Sights will get pushed in after the coating is done. Hopefully at the end of next weekend It'll be 100%.

We'll, go bang, I DID introduce myself, AND included an aviator that I thought would avoid any confusion on the name thing! But that's too funny; I was looking for a prop for the Sig, "...there must be something in this bag!" And came up with the lipstick! I thought "Nah!" But then decided it would be fun to see how many noticed te feminine touch to the forum! I'm very pleased with your reaction!! :D

Here are my newest additions. Springfield compact. 4inch barrel with officers frame. & a Colt LW Commander. The finish on the top of the Colt seems thin. IMAG0122.jpg IMAG0121.jpg IMAG0118.jpg IMAG0114.jpg

a little holster wear is inevitable for a carry .45, still nice though!
