A leather customer brought me his SKS. A little ragged and is missing the upper hand guard, piston tube, piston, and all the other parts that should be contained therein. The reciprocating piston under the sight is there and works freely. I must admit, I know very little about the SKS. From what I see, it will cost around $130-150 in parts to get the rifle functioning. Gas piston 37.00 Gas tube with hand guard 50.00 Ferrule, pin 10.00 Piston extension 25.00 Return spring 6.00 Does this seem about right? And is that all the parts? Is there anyone who lives in the McLeansville-Gisbsonville area that can put the parts together for him at a reasonable fee?
