It's much more difficult than working on an AR. I ended up watching a youtube video while doing it, and it took me about 15min while my wife kept interrupting me haha. Probably a 10min job with no distractions.

1/2 the price of the Vector

  5. Very true.. there is only one way to settle it.....

BUY BOTH... I need to find a shop that has both in stock so I can handle the both.. I figure if I start saving now, I can afford both by the time Hillary leaves after her second term..

I will make you a deal though Madmardigan. If we can ever get a group together I will bring the MPX and you bring that and we can break them in..

I'd take a Vector, but if I buy anymore this year, it's going to be more AR Lowers

I shot one owned by Warsport (with the giggle switch) suppressed, it is a neat gun.

As a pistol, it weighs over 5lbs. So it's only useful as a SBR.

I did my pre-election gun buy today and ordered a Scorpion pistol and all the 30 round mags they had in stock. I am looking forward to the evolution of this platform and I already am formulating an order to HB Industries and Yeti Works. :D

For those that actually do FB there is a pretty good group on there for "CZ Scorpion EVO III Enthusiasts."

Scott Folk of Apex Tactical recently posted up some prototype parts Apex is working on for the Scorpion:
    • flat trigger and sear (early prototype stage)
    • polymer pistol grip (available before Xmas!!)
    • spring loaded folding charging handle (think H&K)
    • safety caps
I have Apex parts in my M&P's and that they are branching into the Scoprion market makes me VERY happy!! :D

I was shooting the Scorpion this weekend and finally had the often rumored USA disconnector from the 922r compliance kit break.

So mine arrived last week, and I now have this:

I've already modified the right safety lever to the HBI mini-AK style and swapped the sights for AR15 height sights. The front is a Troy fixed HK style battle sight and the rear is a Daniel Defense A2. I went with Larue index clips to reduce the cheese grater texture of the bottom and side rails. Other planned mods are an extended mag release (HBI "duckbill"), a new grip and trigger package from Apex Tactical. The grip is supposed to be available in time for X-mas while the trigger, sear, and spring package will release sometime in 2017.

The final mod will be the addition of a Side Project LINK with Magpul Zhukov stock:
    [IMG] [IMG]

This will of course be sporting a Silencerco Octane 45.....gotta LOVE double tax stamp toys. :D

Any idea how much shipping is? It doesn't seem to want to show shipping options until AFTER you put in your cc, not the best way to do things IMO.

I already placed my order and it did not charge me shipping, which i believe was an error. However, Apex has always been quite decent on shipping costs (less than $10).

    Alternate vendor would be Brownell's:

Possible, but "pre-order" is only listed at Brownell's. Apex's website store says nothing but "buy now". Which I did do....I think...at least according to my order confirmation email.
