"RALEIGH, N.C. — There is a new push to repeal North Carolina’s “Stand Your Ground” law, WTVD reported.

House Bill 723, which is being called the “Gun Safety Act,” is scheduled to be introduced in the General Assembly Tuesday.

It would allow a person to use deadly force in self-defense only after using every reasonable means to avoid the danger – including retreating."

Do we know who wrote/sponsored the bill? I haven't been able to find that tidbit in any article I've read on this.

I'm betting this bill doesn't even get a reading

"The Trayvon Martin case proved that it can be used in a way to justify a killing that was unjustifiable,” said Rep. Pricey Harrison (D-Guilford).

Harrison is one of the sponsors of House Bill 723.

“It’s not necessary. I think It leads to more mayhem and death and we just feel like it shouldn’t be on our books,” Harrison said of the current law.

Libtards will try anything, even if it has no chance of passing, just so they can bring it up again during campaign season.

Now if Congress will just deregulate suppressor ownership, and get rid of the NFA tax.
