Well, in DD's defense, his suggestion is just as reasonable as "string 'em up with paracord."
Fair enough. I'll take this at face value.

But his original posting, which started off:

"Sad day for the family and a sad day for our country that is helpless when it comes to violent behavior; prison is not the answer. If charged to combat this type of criminal I would do the most humane act that I could for the killers and that is once convicted they could pick the country from a list of our most unfavored countries to be drop parachuted into and no possibility of reentry to their homeland."

We are NOT helpless. And, sad to say, there are elements of our society in which prison IS the answer. Maybe not as much as we see it used, but even so.

Criminal violence is the responsibility of the society in which it occurs. It's not something that we foist off onto any other country, regardless of what country that may be, just because we don't want to deal with it.

He advocates this as "the most humane act that I could for the killer". So airdropping an American criminal into one of our "most unfavored countries" is "humane"? I must have missed that definition somewhere along the line. I can just imagine how humanely an American criminal would be treated if they were to be air dropped into Kadzak, Aturdastan somewhere, to be dealt with by a bunch of people who are "most unfavored" by the United States.

Yeah, real humane. I can't wait for the video releases on THESE actions.

And, all snide jokes about the cost of execution aside, the expense of an execution isn't in the method. It's in the legal system in place which puts them up for such a fate. And rightfully so, in my opinion. Capital punishment is the ultimate deprivation of civil rights and it had better ALWAYS be d*mned difficult for the government to execute a citizen. I do believe in the death penalty, but I rue the day when it should ever become quick and easy for our government to administer it.

And when the death penalty is administered...it should be all business, quick and efficient. Whether by hanging, electrocution, guillotine, firing squad, or whatever. This is because it's not a torture, it's not a punishment...it's simply the end for a problem that we've decided cannot reasonably be resolved any other way.

Unfortunately they will receive neither exile or a death sentence. In the end I doubt they will actually see any hard time.

Normally, when I see young kids in trouble with the law I think "what a waste of potential" in this case I think "what a waste of skin".

Is there something other than 'evil' that would bring two kids to act in this fashion? I wonder if this was their first 'rodeo'.

.

I, like most Americans choose not to abuse the rights of others, especially violently. Once convicted of such violent acts your rights should be a thing of the past, be humanely booted out of the country so that the rest of us can walk the streets of our nation in peace. Got a problem with that?
You mean you shitting all over the Constitution? No, I've come to expect that from you.

Yes.

A complete dismantling of family structure combined with the glorification of a violent, criminal lifestyle.
Well put.

Sometimes people overanalyze the issues. In general, if we raise our kids not to be violent criminals, then they don't turn out to be violent criminals. This requires a lot of hard work known as "parenting".

:)

Even with the disintegrating family structure and the glorification of violence that has been with us for some time, it isn't common to see this level of violence this young. Perhaps they were over achievers.

You know, considering the staggering rates of divorce and single motherhood, along with the violent aggression so prevalent in today's youth culture, it probably speaks to the inherent goodness in man that we don't see more of this.

Okay. I thought they only allowed open carry but only if you had a conceal permit. No conceal carry even with a permit.
By laws, open carry in a "city of the first class" (philly) with a chp. However, open carry is viewed and treated by police as suspect. Therefore, you are treated as a criminal until otherwise proven. See linked article.

Sorry but they do not deserve humane.

When the parental units are absent, even if they are physically present but uninvolved, it is not uncommon for kids to turn to gangs to get the family structure they desire.

Screw you and your Constitution, my Constitution does not allow murder to become a recreational sport for a bunch of kids that have been raised to hate, clearly the root cause of this incident.

Slow down there Daisy, I don't want you getting your Depends all twisted. You don't know that "hate" was the root cause of this. Beyond that baseless accusation, you clearly only value YOUR rights and not those of other citizens. Again, no one here is surprised.

Nope they did it out of love .....

That sarcasm is as silly as claiming those boys were raised to hate. There is no evidence of that, only wild speculation. If anything, this seems like an awful crime of opportunity.
I thought that if Ferguson taught us anything, it was that wild speculation is perfectly acceptable. Just sayin'.
