Dicks Sporting Goods has the basic 10/22 on sale this week for $179.98.
Would ya'll consider this a good deal?

I purchased 3 for that price back in July at Perry's in Wendell of all places, since they are normally high price-wise on firearms in general. Ruger reps were on site for a Ruger sales event. So yes that is as inexpensive as you will likely ever find one new.

I happened to hit two Dick's today. Got the deal at one, the other was out of stock. Wasn't actually looking for a second, but thought why not take a peek. I purchased the only one at the first Dick's. All the stores are getting trucks in on Tues/Wed according to the people I talked with. The 10/22 will also be a doorbuster and they open at midnight Thursday/Friday.

It was in their Sunday flyer, but it was a little cagey. If you didn't look at it closely you might think the sale wasn't on. I think there will be plenty of them at Midnight on Friday morning!

I'm in love already with one and have not even touched it yet..........lol

My son picked up one for me today in the Wilmington store..........I should be able to fire it Thursday morning after caressing it some tomorrow night.......

Never had a 10/22..........ready to feel the love.

Everyone needs to own at least one 10/22, in fact I think it should be a mandatory part of gun ownership.
I took you at your word tilefish.

I've used it on butler creek mags, stock ruger mags and the bx25. It makes shooting in volume easier on the fingers. As a matter of fact, I keep it with my emergency toolkit so I know it is with me when I go shooting.

1. Dump rounds.
2. Shake and watch as they magically fall in line.
3. Twist to load and watch in amazement as you wish you could load all your mags like this.

If all you run is 10 rounders and only shoot 100 or so at the time, you won't appreciate it. Only worthwhile if you shoot a bunch of the little fellers at the time.
