I thought some of you may enjoy these pictures. My friend was recording video with just a regular old digital camera. When we watched the video back, it was apparent the gun had made quite a flash. I slowed the video down and saved two consecutive slides as files from Windows Media player by using the "Control/ Printscreen" feature. I'm sure there is a more professional way to get still shots from video, but this was all I could think of.
The gun belongs to my friend. It's a beautiful Freedom Arms (maybe model 83?) chambered in 454 Casull. I was shooting one of his hand loads, and contrary to the pictures, the recoil was actually quite manageable from this fine gun. I thought it was really neat to see the explosion around the cylinder and the ring of fire about four feet out from the barrel. I'm extremely careful not to ever shoot without safety glasses now. Mine were laying on the table right beside me when I fired this round. :001_unsure:
