Air Hose or Hose Reel

I moved my air compressor and now the 50' hose has no place to go. It kinks up like crazy and is a pain. I want to get something different. Either one of the auto hose reels or maybe just a new non-kink hose. If it would coil neatly, I'd just get the hose, as I don't have a lot of space where the compressor is to mount a hose reel. I was just wondering what some of you guys use, and if anyone has experience with a hose that truly doesn't kink.

This is just for very occasional use, mainly just topping off air in the vehicle and bike tires, so I'm looking for cheap/nothing fancy. Considering this hose:

Cheap HF auto reel, works just fine, mounted just above head level on the wall, uses useless space, reaches the whole garage. Have another hose to extend for outside work. Intend to manifold with synflex so I can just carry a hose if I need air in the basement, or outside without throwing the door open.

Sounds like the cheap reel is a better choice than an expensive no-kink hose. If that Campbell Hausefield one is GTG, I guess I'll try that one. Is there a short piece of air hose coming out of the reel that goes to the compressor? Or can you adjust it and use part of the 50' to go to the compressor? I'm going to need a few feet to reach from the compressor to the only empty spot on the wall.

What's the deal with Amazon Prime? It's $40 with Amazon Prime 30 day trial membership and $54 without it.

Amazon prime gives you a netflix like service, free 2 day shipping on most items and a netflix like service for music. There are other benefits. I have it and will continue to renew it. But for me...I work out 6 to 7 days a week and use suppliments. Supplements are usually expensive as crap locally. I save literally $30+ if I purchase a month supply of protein isolate, amino acids and pre workout. Then there is Christmas shopping without the hassle that makes it nice, too. I hate shopping...any time of the year. ;)

Amazon Prime was nice back before they stopped selling magazines, too. There are still gun-related products here and there.

I called Walmart and they have that exact one in stock, but at $59.97. So Amazon is cheaper. And if I sign up for Prime, it's $20 cheaper. I order a bunch from Amazon. But I do nothing with music. So I doubt it would be worth $100/year to me. I'll probably go with the instant gratification and get the one at Walmart. Thanks to Cape Fear for pointing that one out to me.

Haven't looked, but do they sell short pieces just for making up a 'jumper'?

I have a craftsman reel that's the same as the Campbell hausefield posted above, it has worked good for the past few years in the garage. I mounted it to the wall a couple feet over from the compressor. It dosent have as much tension as the commercial reels, but does fine as long as you keep the hose clean.

Skip the hose. For the same money ( or less ) get a portable air tank. Fill it at your compressor and take it anywhere.
