Ed, do you know if it is possible to book a B-17 flight online prior to the airshow or are they going to sell the rides on a first come first serve basis? I went to the airshow website and saw where they listed the rides in the family activity section but there was no link to reserve a ride. My son is absolutely going bonkers now that he knows there is going to be B-17 rides at the show. Thanks........ Dave

I got fly in formation with a B-17 when they were here in Concord in 2009. I had just gotten my ticket and I asked if I could get off his right wing in formation to take some photos and they granted the request. I have lost the phone the photos were on but will always be a great memory.

 

you can get type rated in the B-17 if you have a multi-engine license with other certs already. They do it every year prior to Osh Kosh, but it costs....a LOT

Well that's something you don't get to do everyday. Awesome. It's a shame you lost the pics.

 

I was one of the Skydivers that jumped into that show for five years in a row. It was great fun.

 

HAte that I'm going to miss this one! Headed to the mountains this weekend instead. I'll try to catch the Monroe air show this fall.
