So what if you have built your own AR pistol, Is it legal or illegal with a stabilizing brace? The way it is worded, would make it legal if I'm not mistaken.

Everything with a stabilizing brace and barrel less than 16” will be same as an SBR.

From what I read here a bunch of people that are supposed to be 2A supporters are willing to accept another infringement on the right to keep and bare arms when we stop complying with this BS from Washington the sooner it stops. No other right granted to us is regulated like the 2nd Amendment. They are attacking the 1st with transgender and gay garbage by shoving the concept it's right down our throats and they are doing the same thing with the 2nd Amendment. I'm sure I'll hear something about this post however, one knows when they are over the target by the amount of flack they are receiving.

Not sure if anyone else has said this, but with the non-specified definition of "surface area," could that apply to a buffer tube and, if so, does that make this a de facto prohibition on all firearms with a buffer tube? That's one heckuva back door to banning ARs, but I can see it.

The rule as posted on the ATF site specifically calls out AR, AK, H&K, etc pistols as SBR's. Go to the site and click on the "What are some of the types" hyperlink. It includes pictures of all of our soon to be illegal friends...

I haven't read all the details but my FFL has. He said if I want to register an SBR under a trust, I need to prove the SBR was in the trust before the rule goes into effect. I'll be getting my trust notarized today.

As I understand, it also reads, if you remove the brace, you have the make the brace inoperable for reinstallation.

I’m fully aware of the “cost”, just find it funny if I want to put a short barrel on a rifle I gotta pay for the stamp but if I have a pistol with brace I can register it for free. Repeal the nfa
