You bet...took my grandson 2 years ago, we had a blast......working on filling the "coffee can" again, for another trip!

 

I grew up on the other side of town from there so I cant fathom how people spend so much to go there... But, it can be fun for the kids so what the hell.

 

Yeah my daughter loved it last time, but we pulled the campers down and it was super cheap to stay at the Disney campground. which very very nice. Probably the nicest campground we've ever stayed at.

We went several years ago and had a blast. I hope you have tons of fun. I never got to go as a kid and I'm glad we got to take ours.

 

I heard Art of Animation is pretty nice (the new one right?) We rode by and it looked cool.
We are certified Disney nuts. Is it a pain in the ass? Yes! Long lines, hot temps, big crowds, but you can't deny the magic! You guys have a great time!

Just stayed at Animal Kingdom Kidani Village with the Savannah view. My boss man paid for our room with his Disney points, which was probably over $2000. I can't complain! The only problem is, now every time we stay in a hotel, my 2 year old can't understand why there are not giraffes and zebras outside our balcony.

Definitely book a breakfast at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom. It's awesome grub, your daughter will love the characters, and you get to enter the park before it opens. It was the best place I think we ate. Just give it an hour before you ride Everest or you'll be leaving a mess.

One tip I wish I had learned earlier: Most of the crazy rides like Everest (which your daughter is too small for) have a hidden entrance Single Rider line that you can normally walk up to and step right on. I rode Everest twice in a row with no wait, when the doubles line was 1.5 hours.

Can't tell if they had fun or not. What do you think?

 

Not that I was looking, but FYI... Disney is full of hot international Moms. (and some large Americans too!)

 

Yeah my fist time going was when I was dating my wife and her family invited me to go with them. I had a blast at like 27 since then I've been like 5 or 6 times counting the Disney cruises we went on as well. We love it.

This thread may be just in time as my wife has just convinced (told) me we're going to go next year. Our daughters will be 8 and 4. She's been trying to get a trip together for years but I used the girls' ages as a reason to put it off, but it finally makes sense, age wise, to me now. So, I'm in need of some advice on: when to go, where to stay, things the girls (both princesses) must do, etc. We're trying not to break the bank but we probably need to splurge some to make the most of it for the girls, so keep that in mind too. I'm guessing we'll stay 5 nights or so and a package deal may be the way to go but please enlighten me. I should also note that no one in the family is going to be going on any of the crazy rides. Neither my wife or I are big fans, nor do the girls care too much for them either. I've done some minor research and saw the safari type rooms which seemed interesting, but I don't know if $4k with daily tickets and meals is normal or not. I'm betting that a lot has to do with the timing of the trip so all advice is welcome.

 

My girl and I are doing to Disney later this month. We will be at the Disney Contemporary resort for four nights. I won the trip as part of a year long sales recognition contest at work. We are pretty excited, all expenses paid, we just have to show up at the airport.

Look at the website or call make sure you make your dinner reservations same day several months in advance. We did 4nights five days at a value resort. Came with two day park passes and a meal plan. For 1100.00 the meal plan was pretty good a 2 snacks, quick meal, and sit down dinner. Which food is outrageous at the parks. We have stayed all the resorts and old key west is my favorite but not cheap. We have bonus club points but use them with family. Have fun!

That's awesome cowboysfan. We are going on the new Disney cruise ship Fantasy in January. Gonna go the 7 night Western Caribbean cruise. My little girl will also be 4. Her favorite show is the Mickey Mouse Club. I'm so,so gonna miss this age. Wide eyed youth as her granddaddy calls it.

This will be our 1st Disney Cruise.
And my wife and daughters first ever one. I'm really glad you told me this.
I'll put the deposit down next Monday.

 

It is not a cheap endeavor, but Disney World was some of the best money I ever spent on my kids. Don't forget to sign up for the princess breakfasts. Your 4 y/o daughter will freak out. My daughter kissed Snow White right on the nose and Snow genuinely laughed out loud completely out of character. DW is so clean and the people are so nice. My son participated in Jedi training at DW Hollywood Studios. Nothing better for a father than to see your 5 y/o son take Darth Vader on. I think I was more excited then he was.
