With all the talk of the Raleigh gun show it got me to thinking.
I as all of ya'll like/love guns. As I've said before been shooting/owning them for 40 years now, since my very first single shot .22 rifle as a kid. I even still have my very first "very own" shotgun that my mom gave me for Christmas when I was 16, back when dinos still roamed the earth. Then spent 20 years carrying one daily as a job. Probably fired tens of thousands of rounds through hundreds of guns. Everything from the old single shot to full auto H&K and AR's and even an original 1929ish Thompson (before the SO I worked for traded the dang thing for new AR's!!). Even had an FFL, store and sold them for years. But with all that said, I just can't become a gun show fan. Short of maybe some rare find, which most times I'm not really looking for, and C&R and MIL guns which I am not into at all or a decent price on bulk ammo, I just don't find that I see anything or any better pricing than I can get at one of my local dealers.
I would like to find a nice 4' nickel S&W 19 and/or a 3.5" S&W 66 so I thought about riding over to the show in RAL today, but I just can't get in to it and probably will "cave" again and not go to another show.
Am I the only "gun nut" to feel like this about gunshows?
