It's great for really skinny guys. It's a very fast, and effective draw. It also doesn't print much. I'm not one of those guys so I carry at 3:00 just like I would a standard holster. That is the most comfortable for me. Appendix is safe if you have quality gun, a glock for example... I'll go ahead and say that you're not going to defeat all 3 safeties to get yourself in trouble. The question is, do you trust yourself and your training??
You don't even really have to be skinny. I'm 225, still my favorite place for a holster. I'm not beer-gut busting my shirt, but I could lose a few and tone up more.

Well I'm a fat guy and I carry a commander sized kahr tp40 in a comp-tac appendix holster in front of my hip bone set high and tilt is to the rear !! I tried a smaller holster but being a fat guy you need to spread out the pressure so there's no hot spot that a small sized holster can not give you . I set so the grip so it is parallel to my belt 1" above it . That would tilt the barrel forward , grip to the rear. Easy to draw while setting or driving. I have to wear a cover or wear un-tucked shirt do to the grip size of a tp or 1911 commander grip size but a small kahr cm or cw or shield or officers sized 1911 or other like sized pistol on a fat guy would be a breeze to hide with a tucked shirt.

I am not concerned about the kahr line as its a long da type trigger pull and iy can go bang on its own do to a striker block. Finger can't get to the trigger any faster than any other make and then you have a longer pull DA pull. .

My holster, I did cut off the un-need bottom leather.
Nice. That's the holster I am looking into for myself for a couple of my pistols. Right now I'm using a Crossbreed with the cant set to zero. Works for the one pistol I own it for. I've tried the one point of contact holsters, but I hate how the gun can slosh around in my waistband without the second point of contact.
