First Weekend of the Month Matches info:

On the first Saturday of each month we have our monthly Sanctioned SCSA Steel Challenge Match. If you are a SCSA Member we invite you to join us with all scores being uploaded to SCSA and posted nationally. If you are not as SCSA Member or have never shot a SCSA Steel Challenge Match you are welcome to join us for fun day of shooting steel and if you enjoy it as much as we do you can join to have your scores posted and can compare them nationally. You can shoot rimfire or centerfire pistol an pcc's are welcome using iron sights or optic. You can also shoot multiple guns (example: pistol and pcc in the same match) This is a great match for beginners looking to try match shooting as there is very little to no movement shooting from a stationary position at 5 steel targets at a time. There are 6 stages and the match fee is $25. You can get more info on the SCSA Steel Challenge website. Come join us and ring some steel!! You can find this match on Practiscore at The Range @ True North Matches or Steel Challenge Match, Oxford, NC.

On the first Sunday of each month we have our monthly Sanctioned IDPA Level I Match. This is a scenario biased match designed for concealed carry practice. This match has movement, uses cover and you will be shooting around walls, doors, windows, in-out-around and through vehicles. This is a great match to get familiar with and test your equipment and the way you carry. You will need your gun, strong side holster, 3 mags recommended/two may do, mag pouches, cover garment, eye protection, ear protection, and approx. 120 rounds of ammo. There are 6 stages and the match fee is $20. The first time shooter is welcome to bring what you have but for those who want to continue to train and become proficient with your equipment there are some guidelines. There is all the info needed on the IDPA website. You can find this match on Practiscore at The Range @ True North or IDPA Match in Oxford, NC.
