Fees charged by banks is not a great subject to get me started on.

Recently I had occasion to call my bank with some questions about my checking account. Made three calls actually, to their "Customer Service Center".

A couple days later, I saw that there was a $2.00 deduction from my account, which I had no reason to expect.
:?:
Naturally, I called to see whats-what.

Turns out that you are only allowed two calls be month to customer service, the $2.00 fee was the result of the third call I made.

Me not happy.
And yes, a couple days later, a SECOND $2.00 was deducted as a result of my calling to inquire about the FIRST $2.00.

Now, "not happy" is hardly an apt discriptor.......

Banks are the vampires of our society. It makes me sick the way they have gotten away with gouging and taking advantage of people for years and now they are getting bailed out....let them fail as far as I am concerned.

Bank of Amigo is the worst offender. When I do side work on computers for people I will refuse to take a check drawn on BofA because of the $5 they charge me to cash one of their customers checks.
I use a credit Union and believe me I watch every penny and transaction. At least I feel like I have more control over my Money in a Credit union and the one I use is a local entity.

I could go on and on about banks but I would rather stick my tongue in an electrical socket then do anything to help the sycophants.......I would rather suck snought out of a dead elephants nose than give them any business.......

Banks and the people who own them are arrogant, greedy and butter would not melt in their mouths. They make all these claims about community support, charitable giving and being for the little hard working person.

Banks have gotten to big and now that they have proved to the world that they are greedy arrogant bastards the only other contingent of greedy arrogant bastards is using our money to bail out the scum bags.

No wonder people are pulling their money out of banks and burying it out in the back yard. I use a credit union, I am not saying they are ultimately any better but I can still go in and talk to a Teller or Customer relations person and not get charged. They don't charge me for every transaction and at least act like they appreciate my business.......

Bankers and Lawyers are what has brought this country to it's knee's.

Amen Brudder!!!!!

While I'm ranting on the subject, I also get ticked because I can't use a different banks ATM to get some cash without paying a fee to both the bank that owns the ATM, AND BB&T as well. However, I can get cash from my same account by using the "Cash Back" option when checking out at the grocery store, and not pay any additional fees to anyone!

I need to see about a CU I think...... :?

If you want to avoid fees and get a little better return on your money then go with a credit union or a smaller local bank. The big guys will eat you alive and almost expect you to pay them for letting them use your money. Read all fine print very carefully. If you are a good customer ask for fees to be waived if it is your first "offense". If the bank wants your business they will waive them.

ATM fees chap my behind.

Remember when ATMs first came out? In addition to the 24/7 access convieniance, BoA said it was a great cost savings initiative. They could cut overhead by reducing the head count of tellers.

Now, they charge us to use them? Dogs. Oh wait, didn't mean to offend the dogs. I love my dog.

Cats, thats what they are, and all of them!
