    Does anyone in the Triad have the capability to program a UV5R for Me? I've got the cable but not the patience to do it. Thanks in advance.

    Sure, I can do it for you. I am in the Winston area. I will program it to what I have which should work for you also with the exception of adding a few frequencies like your local LEO.

    Try it with the CHIRP software. Pretty easy radio to program.

    I got the cable but could not find my particular model to download software
    I have a BF-R3
    I am in the Raleigh area but cover all of NC for work
    Any help would be awesome
