I have a .25 950 Jetfire that kicks out the magazine, and stovepipes often while being shot. More times than none it happens. As you may know the mag release is at the bottom corner of the grip, and one thing I made certain that I was not accidentally hitting the release. My wife has the same problem while shooting.

The only conclusions that I have came up with is either the actual mag catch assembly is faulty, or the ammo is not meant for the gun. I have only used Remington .25acp 50gr in this gun since I have had it.

I've searched the internet and have yet to find real evidence that this is a model specific problem. What do you guys think?

Springs look okay from what I can tell, they are not rusted or soft. I did tighten up the magazine release button an 1/8". Maybe that will help...

I have the original box(manuals, and service plan), and even receipt from 87'. I failed to mention that this gun has hardly been shot.

Sounds like your problem is with the mag, most likely, couple of choices. Find a new mag and see if the trouble continues or goes away. If a new mag cannot be located then disassemble the existing one and stretch the spring in an arc (like a banana) with the taller side being the side of the spring that goes in the front of the mag. The mag dropping, check the catch hole in the mag if the steel is damaged, rounded it'll need to be freshen up, a little filing/stoning will do the trick. A LITTLE goes a long way so take it easy. When you slowly push the release botton you want the mag to be drawn up into the well just a tiny bit before it drops.
