My wife just received her CCW this past Thursday plus received her NRA membership the week before. She has always been a true Conservative in our 33 years of marriage. I'm extremely proud of her. It's not easy being an educator in the Public School System. The search for the perfect firearm/caliber begins.

I might suggest that every person give their spouse an NRA membership, etc. to help the Cause. We're going to need every ones attention in the next year/years to come.[/quote]

I'll second that!

My wife is additionally a NRA Instructor, and, once we finish the paperwork, a NC Concealed Carry instructor. Got to love a good woman!

I wouldn't know, my wife is just mean to me.

Good on ya!

We celebrated 16 years yesterday. I married a New England liberal and have been slowly converting her to a more conservative way of thinking.

She did NOT vote for the D in the last election.

The NRA membership is a good idea. She won't even have to know! :p

Just celebrated our 35th. She tolerates my "obsession with guns" as she calls it but no longer objects to my carrying everywhere. A couple of close by home invasions and violent crimes have changed her attitude. She can shoot fairly well with several kinds but just will not carry. Got her a 22mag 5 shot derringer and ended up carrying it myself as backup. She said it was too loud.
On a good note--my "Booston" buddy has now joined the ranks of us gun nuts. He is storing food/water/arms/and ammo. Getting his CC permit for he and his wife next week. He has a "Gator" and a 3/4 ton 4X4 sitting in the garage now. Glad to see folks get wise, wc

I am not sure this is type action is conducive to our cause.
+1 Is she going to shoot someone if they react to her?

I did not pick up on your humor. You have to keep in mind more than just the members may read this forum and they can take what you say at face value.
We are all representatives of gun owners.
Thanks for the link to the psychology course but I think I understand humor.

Really? I'll try to "keep it real" in the future.

I guess the multiple humorous postings immediately after my facetious post gave no clue the satirical nature of my comment. You're right .... this is not Comedy Central (that's_a_TV_channel_featuring_examples_of_comedy). You hear that Moose? Keep yourself in line!! Shave that hate beard ... you look bad for "the cause".

Very well, I will keep my opinions to myself hence forth.
I must be to young to get the "gun humor".
Hunter, I can tell you from my own experience that if you just walk up to ߈˜ø∫¥†´ and hug him he will sniff you and then all will be right in the world. :)
Humor is a major part of all, even the the serious stuff. Take everything a bit lighter than usual and you will learn and meet great people and have come comical and some intelligent conversations.
If you run into any problems with ߈˜ø∫¥†´ call him names and run, that is what I do to him.

߈˜ø∫¥†´ , my hate beard is "The Cause" :D
And to keep this on topic, .....oh hell I don't know what the topic was , I only jumped in here to help out Hunter and be a good future Mod for the future lotery winning Trazar. :)

I have been in the gun game a little while now. I have served on several NRA boards, shot a lot of pistol matches, and serve as a small part of the news media for gun reviews. Professionalism is a must
I know humor is necessary but keep in mind this forum can be read by anyone in the world with a computer. They may have a different mindset than we do and misconstrue subtle humor.
I type everything with the thought that is can be read by anyone in the world and could be interpreted according to their ideas.
Someone not familiar with us or the forum may not see the humor as we do and not understand someone checking to be sure they are armed before they flip someone off was typed in jest.
It is not my duty to moderate this forum or pass judgment on the posts but I will tell you that I believe it is best to err on the side of caution.

Well I hate to say it - not really, I am glad to say it- but I gave up being Politiclly Correct in the 90's. I found out that no matter how you say something somebody is not going to like it. So why worry. Say what you mean, mean what you say. and if they can't take a fu%k, joke them.
