From the Regs book.

Hunter or Blaze Orange Any person hunting bear, wild boar,
feral hogs, rabbit, squirrel, grouse, pheasant and quail with the
use of fire arms must wear a cap or hat made of hunter-orange
material or an outer garment of hunter orange visible from all
sides. Any one hunting deer during a deer firearms season, regard -
less of weapon, must wear hunter orange. This includes archery
hunters that hunt on Sunday during the deer firearms season.
This requirement does not apply to a landholder, his or her spouse
and children if they are hunting on the landholder’s property.

Doesn't you have to do during muzzleloading season, only firearms. If your using a BP during firearms season then you do.

Remember, a muzzeloader is not classified as a firearm.
Don't believe I'd want to try to argue with the courts that a "muzzel loading" firearm is not a firearm, no matter what color powder I was using. I don't have Chapter 130 of the NC General Statutes in front of me, but I'm sure muzzel loaders are classified as firearms under Chapter 14.

Also copied from the NC reg book.

General Restrictions
â—Ź Any person hunting deer during a deer firearms season shall
wear hunter orange. This includes hunting on Sundays during
the muzzleloader or gun seasons, even though hunters may only
use archery equipment on Sundays. Landholders, their spouses
and children hunting on land held by the landholder do not
have to wear hunter orange.

So yes, you do have to wear orange during the ML season. I bowhunt all season and I don't like Blaze Orange, but the law is the law.
