Too limiting. I'd be interested if I could furnish my own ammo, and if the event was also open to .45 Colt. That's less than an hour from home.

You can definitely use your own ammunition. There is no stipulation that you can't. However, what it says if you use Mills Ammunition, you qualify for the cash prizes. But you can still take home the honor of winning first place with your own ammunition.

It is just .45 ACP though. Not .45 Colt for this contest. But there may be more competitions in the future that are open to .45 colt. You can see their calendar on their website and they have shooting competitions scheduled months out. I see a button where you can subscribe to the calendar events too.
