Kahr PM 9 is added to the list above.

Thanks for checking on the Glock 26 height. I find Glock also lists some of their pistols with differing width slides as the "same width", which I guess means same frame width (i.e. G30, versus G30S which has the skinnier G36 slide on a G30SF frame).

Here's my Kahr over-analysis as it applies to me personally.

I have been willing to accept the longer "DAO" trigger pull on the Kahr CW380 because it seemed to be the best trigger of the other true "pocket pistols" I've tried or owned, except perhaps the 1911 style ((yet heavier)) trigger of the Sig P238, which of course requires utilizing a safety (cocked and locked) to carry in "condition one".

I can shoot that wee Kahr with DAO style trigger accurately when I take time to properly place my shots, but you saw how I shot it on the clock last Saturday. I tend to jerk the gun down due to the long trigger pull. I still view it as my best choice for the few times I am limited to carrying only a pocket pistol, but I just don't know if I am willing to go with that trigger in a larger pistol. Not because of it's failings as a firearm, but because of mine as a shooter. If I was of above average intelligence I'd go to Boyette's pistol/carbine class this weekend instead of shooting a match, but...
    :)

I'm sort of adding guns willy nilly to the list in the OP if for no other reason than comparing semi-autos we commonly carry.

Exactly. The only wheel guns I'm interested in is a 5shot 9mm. I used to want a blackhawk in 45acp but I got rid of my 45s...

I have one of those. 45acp/45LC. First handgun I bought myself when I turned 21. It will not fit in the IDPA box. ;)

That eagle head vaquero in 45acp is a sexy pistola too... Neither is a good ccw weapon...

but those little 9mm revos would be nice pocket guns...

Anyone know when the finalized 2017 rule book will be released?

I think the word you are looking for is impossible.

If you have the money to spend on a pistol for this particular I would look at the mini 1911 style pistols. The Sig looks to be the cats meow but Kimber seems to have one too.

I have some dial calipers and with a factory mag base pad and TFO sights it measures 4.116" high.

I'm not in danger of winning an IDPA match anytime soon and I'm good with that. Trying to place well in matches is not what I'm after. For me, this is all about becoming more proficient with my primary carry gun and having fun.

Umm...I think you can win with a G26. Very possible. That gun shoots like a bigger gun...at least to me.

I don't know why IDPA is discriminating against revo's. The bug nationals are no reloads on the clock. So what difference is it if you use
moon clips or not? At the end of the day, you have to shoot accurately!

Added the Beretta Nano to the list in the OP in my continuing quest for my next 9mm pee wee shooter.
Review of the trigger doesn't look too great, and for a lousy shooter like me, I don't need another long trigger. Gives me every opportunity to miss, not matter how accurate the gun or perfect my sight alignment.

In true IDPA fashion, they had to make it "more like real life" and disallow use of any guns that any body would use as a BUG in real life.

Or, just disallow any BUG guns that are actually fun to shoot. Can't have that. You let somebody have fun and the next thing you know they are sticking grip tape on their gun.

If shields are out, I'm assuming XDS is no go too. WTF? Guess we all need LCP's.

Yup, according to the SA website the XDS 9 weighs an ounce over the proposed 22 oz limit.

I hope that's right, even if I have to spend too much at Apex Tactical to get one like I want it.

I feel like they'll have to adjust the measurements to allow the top 3 single stack 9s. GLOCK 43, S&W Sheild, and XDs9...

They could call it the great Ruger/Kahr stimulus package of 2017.

Considering Smith & Wesson's announcement here at the top of the IDPA Newsletter that just appeared in my in-box, surely IDPA will tweak that box dimension so a Shield will fit in it.

    AmmoLand
Smith & Wesson Corp. announced that registration for the 2017 Smith & Wesson IDPA Winter Nationals opens on Dec. 11, 2016. Long considered to be the season opener for the IDPA competition season, the Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor National Championship is even more meaningful this year since the match will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of this premier event. I just took a screen shot of your post, since no one ever says that to me.
    Not at my house, anyway.
