    From the article:

An LA Times editorial compared Utah’s “632,276” concealed permit holders with California’s “79,834.” Also, the newspaper’s editorial stated that California holds fewer permit holders because of the strict gun control. The major concern falls that if the national reciprocity succeeded, the 632,276 permit holders in Utah will be allowed to carry guns for self-defense in California. Another of their greatest fears is that California gun owners may avail of an out-of-state license in Utah, and thus, be able to carry firearms in their home state.

In 2015, the Federal Bureau of Investigation crime data has shown that California has a far greater rate of murder. According to statistics, the murder rate in California was 34.5 times greater than in Utah.

Well, what if all those Mormons come pouring across the border shooting up the barrios in S. LA? I mean, those gun waving cc permit holders are just a bunch of bloodthirsty racists, aren't they???

Or, maybe they don't trust their own people with guns.

Or, maybe they are afraid of losing control. What's the saying, gun control isn't about guns, it's about control? Yeah, pretty sure that's it.

Yes, they should be fearful of the bloodthirsty, murderous state Utah is.

    A shift in power.

Remember...gun control is all about control. Control exercised by the state over the citizens, not the other way around.

So they have dropped all pretense... their gun control laws control law abiding gun owners and they don't want to loosen that grip.

Never interrupt your adversary while he is making a mistake.

As others have said, this is just further evidence that the mask is coming off and any pretense of "the greater good, think of the children!!!" is fading away in favor of what can only be described as religious fanaticism for power and control.... precisely what the pro-Rights side has said from the beginning.

This is a losing proposition for them, though they don't realize it just yet. We simply need to push for what we want, in State legislatures and at the federal level.

We need to keep doing what we're doing. Let them hoist themselves upon their own petard.

So what you're saying is legalizing weed in Nevada is going to make people from Utah drive to Cali? Why, when they can just go to Carson City, Reno or Vegas and get their John Browning underpants taken off by a stripper with a blunt in her mouth while pulling the one arm bandit?

I think the loot-gov needs to get some of that sweet blue Kush and chillax.

Unfortunately it's almost universally accepted that Newsom will be California's next governor. A few minutes of the google will show just how big a dirt bag he is.

I read that he wants to ban heterosexual marriage and natural child birth in favor of 100% invitro with DNA pre-screen for defects. Home with mother and father act against the interests of government. And natural child birth may result in "future burdens on taxpayers" being born.
