I try hard to stay legal when i carry.. headed to SC for the weekend.. first time out of state with the CCH permit.. my understanding is that SC and NC Reciprocate. any major gotchas i need to know about.. let's say i get stopped by the lovely State Patrol, for example.. do I handle everything the same way?

Yea. Sucks, don't it. On the good side, when carrying concealed, you are not violated if the weapon is exposed when being transferred from the holster to a carry case or compartment in the car. You are not violated if the weapon is exposed when reaching for documents a LEO asks for (car registration, etc.). And lastly, printing is allowed as long as it's not readily identifiable as a gun and as long as "a reasonable effort is being made to conceal".
