Case lube for 9mm?

I have read that case lube makes re-sizing 9mm much easier.

Is anyone using case lube for 9mm? If so, what is good or bad about it?

I use carbide dies, but still hit the cases with a light shot of RCBS case lube right before I start loading. No, its not manditory, but it does make the whole process way easier and smoother. I dont bother lubing if doing a small test batch of 10 or so rounds but for any run more than that I always lube. When loading on a progressive press, at least for me, Im monitoring a lot of things all happening at the same time, watching, listening, and feeling what the press is doing, and if my cases are nice and slick I can feel something going wrong easier and correct it before it becomes a bigger problem later.

I use lube for my 9mm and I can feel a difference for sure. It's a single stage, so that might be the reason.
I can feel the difference on a progressive too. Resized case slides out of the sizing die easier when it's lubed. And with a progressive, smooth is good because so many things are happening at once and there are a bunch of cases that all need to be perfectly lined up to fit into their respective dies, so eliminating any jerkiness helps IMHO.

I have never used lube for 9mm on my single or progressive. But I don't shoot in matches or particularly load for extreme accuracy either and for bulk stuff minute of man is fine with me. I only use lube for rifle brass

I use case lube on everything. I timed my reloading and on my 650 it's just shy of an extra 120 rounds an hour with lube...just speeds everything up.

I make my own lube, about a year's worth is around $8

I've been re-loading for awhile. I have a Lee Classic Turret Press and carbide dies, for the pistol and revolver calibers that I re-load for. It definitely takes more effort to re-size 9mm over .45ACP.

I don't want to complicate the re-loading routine, but if lube wold make the routine "smoother", I think it might be worthwhile. I have some 99% alcohol and a bottle of lanolin, in preparation to make my own lube. The replies to my post have convinced me to give it a shot. If it doesn't work out or proves to be a pain is the a$$, I'll let you know.
