There were a couple reports of similar incidents with clowns in upstate SC last week. Sooner or later one is gonna end up with a sad face!

Also, I hate clowns...dang Poltergeist movie!

Although it is definitely not normal, I was curious what the crime was when the officer said it was illegal. I kept reading and this:

Officer Gilberto Franco with the Greenville Police Department...

"It's unlawful for you to wear a mask in public whether it's a mask itself or conceal your face while you're out in public," Franco said.
Yeah...I saw that, too.

He oughta hit the streets on October 31st....he should be able to set a record for the most arrests in one shift.

I read that they were enacted related to KKK activity.

§ 14-12.8. Wearing of masks, hoods, etc., on public property.

No person or persons shall in this State, while wearing any mask, hood or device whereby the person, face or voice is disguised so as to conceal the identity of the wearer, enter, or appear upon or within the public property of any municipality or county of the State, or of the State of North Carolina. (1953, c. 1193, s. 7.)

It's all a bunch of BS, people blowing the issue all out of proportion.

Greenville, SC just had the same deal. A bunch of kids doing stupid cr*p and a bunch of weenie adults getting their dander up over BS.

I have heard a few apoplectic saying "Oh, it's no big deal. Just kids being kids." And while that may be 100% true, it loses its "innocence" as soon as it has to do with luring kids around or baiting them in any way.

I would agree, but three different reports from three different locations in two different counties?

I'm not saying there is an uprising of Clowns coming. But as it stands, the evidence based on eye witnesses, both juvenile and adult, is that there is someone or multiple people hanging out at playgrounds dressed as clowns and they aren't making animal balloons for a quarter.

Is it criminal? Perhaps and perhaps not.

Put it this way, I'm not saying it's something, but I am not so freaking quick to say "Oh, it's nothing".
Yeah...and the SAME kinda reports here in Greenville, SC.

People are stirring the pot and others are reacting.

This could all be cured very simply, and without all the BS going on...round up a few and beat them thoroughly. The rest will get the hint pretty d*mn quickly. No muss, no fuss.
