WEAPON AMMUNITION MUST BE CODED, TO AUTHORIZE THE STATE LAW ENFORCEMENT
DIVISION (SLED) TO ENFORCE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ARTICLE, TO PROVIDE THAT
CERTAIN AMMUNITION MANUFACTURERS AND VENDORS MUST REGISTER WITH SLED, TO
PROVIDE THAT CERTAIN INFORMATION ABOUT TRANSFERS OF AMMUNITION MUST BE
MAINTAINED AND MADE AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION, AND TO PROVIDE PENALTIES FOR

The worst part:

No later than January 1, 2012, all noncoded ammunition owned by private citizens and retail outlets must be disposed.

I was actually at SLED today. IT guys are nice.

Thats no different than hand gun registration, if they know what kind and how much ammo you have then they know what kind of guns you own. Sounds like the first steps in confiscation to me.

The Government doesn't need to know what I own.

How are they going to know that everybody disposed of the un-tracable ammo. Not like they can come to your house and look for it.

I was told by a friend who checked into this that it never got past the first reading. Can't verify, just going by what I was told.
