After my daily routine of exercise and then a 2 mile jog, I got home to find out that I was completely out of tea bags...I am like Uncle Si on Duck Commander, have to have my iced tea.

Anyway, it was such a nice day that I decided to "hoof" it to the local Food Lion before the crowds got there for the Thanksgiving stock up. About a mile walk each way, took about 35 +/- minutes including in store time and not a single drop of gas being burnt.

Not sure how "green" I want the earth to be...LOL. Amazing some of the things you see when you get out of the car and on foot and it's clear how much we have come to depend on the car as a society, a few times I had to wave my arms for cars to see me....whew.

I did something similar back in the summer. Had to drive my wife's car to get it inspected one Saturday. Once I dropped it off, I decided to just hoof it back home. It was about 5 miles or so. It is amazing what you see when you're out of your car walking a route you normally drive. Uh.............................. However, in my case, it wasn't voluntary. My wife was all PO'd at me from an argument the night before and it would have been a cold day in Hades before she was going to come pick me up with my car.

In that case she would be the one taking it in for the inspection.
