CHARLOTTE - Police in Charlotte shot and killed a person carrying a gun Tuesday afternoon at a Charlotte apartment complex, officials said.

UPDATE 10 p.m.: The member of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department that was involved in the shooting has been identified as Officer Brentley Vinson. As is standard procedure with any officer involved shooting, Vinson has been placed on paid administrative leave. Vinson has been employed with the CMPD since July 21, 2014 and is currently assigned to the Metro Division.

Nope a guy that was mentally handicapped, that was reading a book waiting on his kid at bus stop.
You couldn't make that story up on TV or it would be to cheesy.

The officer was undercover or off duty supposedly according to something I saw earlier on Twitter from wcnc talking to man brother.

But again that could be totally wrong too.

Looks like a cop car is being abandoned and damaged. All glass busted out.

Needless to say I am carrying the FNS9 with all 3 mags tomorrow to work. This is less than 2.5 miles from my work
