Yep, a report said that he kicked down the exit door as you say.
He couldn't have kicked it open from the outside...exit doors are required to open out. Either he was inside and blocked it open when he went out or someone inside opened it for him.

The Foxnews report said there were 14 dead and at least 50 wounded, some critically, but that only 10-20 shots were fired.

cowboysfan is right...crazy and senseless.

I'm praying for these people. Terrible. This was one F-ed up dude. And one completely tragic situation.

And before this becomes a "we need CCW in the movie theater" thread, I'd caution you remember what happens when well trained folks try to bring a handgun to a rifle fight.

Oh, and WTH was a 3 month old doing at a midnight movie? Grrr...

I'm sure this guy knew he wouldn't have to expect any resistance in a gun free zone. Maybe knowing that someone, anyone could be armed might give even one BG pause and save one single life.....
