Am I missing something. Am I the only one that thinks airsoft is gay as hell. I didn't even know what airsoft was until about a year ago. I don't know what these internet commandos are doing with airsoft "sniper" rifles but to me it just seems idiotic. Then today I see this on craigslist. I see these toys listed all the time and I believe there are actually adults out there buying this stuff.

Craigslist ad
Upgraded KWA M16 w/Daniel Defense omega rails - $450 (Granite falls)
I have up for sale my KWA M16 gen 1. I love this rifle and have put a lot of money and time into it. I'm interested in a different area in the field though and need to sell this rifle to fund it. All together I have about 650-700$ on it and I'm asking 450$.

Internals:
Prometheus 509mm 6.03 barrel-65$
Prometheus M135 spring- 17$
Ported aluminum piston head-20$
Bravo xyclone motor-80$
deans connectors
4000mah 20c Lipoly

Externals:
Daniel Defense 12 inch omega rail system- 115$
Madbull black side suppressor-40$
NC star rubberized 3-9x40 scope-40$

Performance: I'm not sure what the actual fps is but I would take a guess that its around 430-440 w/ a .25bb. It sends a .25 through the top of a coke can and a .40gbb out to about 200ft but thats as much I can tell you about the fps.

The ROF is Amazing... I built this rifle as a DMR but the rof turned out to be higher then our support guns ROF. With the 135 spring I'm probably shooting some where around 27-30rps. The reason for this being is that the Bravo xyclone high torque motor runs at 48,200rpms which 200rpms faster then the systema turbo. With that Lipoly powering it you have an insane rof and battery that just doesn't die.
Also if your a semi person this rifle is for you because it has the best trigger response ive ever seen in aeg. Its instant with even an almost dead lipoly.
(SORRY FOR THE WEIRD PIC,THE RIFLE IS BLACK AND DOESNT HAVE SQUARES)

*Willing to sell my lipoly smart charger for 60$ extra, this thing does everything/all types of batteries)
I'm more then willing to answer any questions just shoot me a email.

WTF was that. I couldn't comprehend half that ad. I did see he wants 450.00 though.

My brother is the Public Relations Chair for the Irish Airsoft Association and is based in Wexford, Ireland. Over there, airsoft as a recreational sport is bigger than paintball and the participants spend thousands on specialized airsoft guns that rival our genuine articles in price.

My brother and I laugh all the time that he and I spend the same on guns, but mine are the real deal.

His are definitely not the $10 dollar gun show deals, but still not my thing.

I can tell you a few things. One I did this for three years. I was a retailor as well as a producer of games. It is a lot of fun and I got to spend time with my kid, if that is gay then I must be a frickin flamer.

As far as the guns, yes some, actually a lot of them cost the same or more then real ones. A lot of time and effort goes into make a little 6mm plastic BB go 100yds straight. If you think I am kidding I will call a few friends of mine and let you stand 100yds away, let me know how it feels. I guarentee you will cry like a little baby after the 10th one hits you.

Is it a bunch of grown men playing commando, yes it is. Is it fun, yes it is.

Most of the guys that play are ex-military and current military. It is good training and you actually get to shoot someone. So please explain your problem?

i dont own any airsoft rifles or guns, but i have seen a "gunguy" play with one and was hitting a stop sign about 30-40 yards away almost dead on and the pinging sound was cool as about 100 airsoft"bullets" hit it at full auto.

Dude hang with yer kid that's cool, but buy the kid a real gun instead of playing commando with him. Disclaimer, I'm an expert at telling other people how to raise their kids.

Now as far as me crying after ten hits. Son I haven't cried in 30 years.

I think it has its place.

Lets face it, most of the kids that play airsoft now will at some point after there 18th year buy a real firearm.

Its a simple and effective way of growing our numbers.

Back in the day you played bb gun war right? You played Army right?

Whats so wrong with doing it this way?

I was big time into the airsoft scene for a few years. It's easy to sink as much into an airsoft as it is a real firearm. And if you like "modifying" your real boomsticks, then the same goes with these but more extreme. Disassembling a gearbox and properly putting it back together is very tedious, more so than any firearm I've ever disassembled.

And yes, they hurt, even break skin fairly easy.

As for why to buy one, you cant shoot your friends with an actual gun, and you're looking at a lot less money to own an automatic.

First I am not your Son so please refer to me in a bit nicer way. Second the reason you have not cried in 30 years is due to the fact you have not been hit in the face with a little pellet.

Oh,

I got to say some of the airsoft is gay.

But the idea of it is good. When you see this it kills the idea for me.

We do use airsoft pistols for force on force training. They work great. BUT you got to keep it with in the lines of reality.

Its a toy gun.

i for one would like to get a good airsoft pistol to practice in my house, and for some practice on drawing from concealment against attackers. I felt some at a shop that if you did a blind taste test, i'd bet you couldnt tell the difference.
I'm not saying I want to run out and spend $1k on one, but a 150-200 for a good quality airsoft pistol that wont break during regulat use could earn its keep for me.
