This story is 100% true and i want your honest opinions

ok, so about a hour ago i gave my cousin a ride to the gas station. on the way back a car started riding my bumper, i thought it was just some regular butthole so i ignored them. as soon as i pull on to my street they pull their emergency brake up and skid into my road and get out the car. so me thinking something was wrong, but more curious than anything, turn around to see what was going on, so i pull up to their car and then i see 2 shirtless guys one trying to get into the trunk and i think i already know where this is going, next thing i know one of the guys walks up to my car yelling "you mother $%#$# you dont know who your messin with, i saw that look you gave me at the gas station" which i dont even remember him from the gas station. he called me fat and pushed my face it pissed me off but not enough to do any thing until he continued to say "i got something in the car for you im gunna splatter your %%$%^& brains all over this road" i doubt he did but i wast taking any chances so i pulled my shotgun from the back seat and racked one in the chamber (which wasnt easy in my small car)his eyes got pretty big and he continued to run his mouth but he did get back in his car and pulled off i got his tag number and a description of him should i call the police? did i do anything wrong? would it of been justified to hold him at gunpoint until the police arrived? or am i over reacting.

You were on your property? I would have shot him. And if his buddy had made a move I'd have shot him too.
Then what would you do...?

Then I would call my lawyer. Then the sheriff.
But there was no deadly force from the other parties, even though it was communicated, no weapon was produced from what I could tell

If they're on my property and they are threatening me (and I'm not a young or big guy,....no weapon is needed to be threatening), I have no need to retreat.

in sc on your own property you don't have to see a weapon. when a man says he will kill you you have every right to defend yourself
Exactly.

(C) A person who is not engaged in an unlawful activity and who is attacked in another place where he has a right to be, including, but not limited to, his place of business, has no duty to retreat and has the right to stand his ground and meet force with force, including deadly force, if he reasonably believes it is necessary to prevent death or great bodily injury to himself or another person or to prevent the commission of a violent crime as defined in Section 16-1-60.

no i wasnt on my property i was about 200 feet from it but if he was on my property i would of at least stuck the barrell in his mouth and then go from there depending on what he has to say

I guess it's just me but something about this story is "odd."

I think it starts where they skid into your street after tailgating you and you "turn around and go back to ask them if they were ok."

You'd REALLY have to convince this juror...

i find that odd too....

just that they skid onto 'your road' and all... they ride your ass, then they stop, so you turn around to offer help? I just don't understand, like they turned onto your road and stopped.... they pulled the E brake and spun out of control??

Either way, you did the right thing i think, just call the cops, let them sort it out.

i thought i might know them from school or somthing

oh and they pulled the e brake on the main road and skidded sideways onto my road the way they jumped out at first i thought it was some freinds riding together and things got rowdy and someone pulled the ebrake but i didnt think anything was gunna happen like this it seems like if they wanted to fight or whatever they would have followed me home i live on a coldasack with like 8 people on my whole road so i didnt feel threatened at all until the guy waled right up to my car

So did you call the police to make a report on how you were concerned for your life from two dirt bags or are we going to read about how you assaulted two fine citizens with a shotgun who on their way back from Sunday School had stopped on your street to check on a problem with their emergency brake?

I would like to hear the other two parts to this story.

yea i called the cops and explained what happed and they filed a report and said "we will look into it" but we all know what that means but at least my side of the story is documented first and get this we just went to visit my girlfreinds parents and they live about 4 houses down i knew the car looked familiar but i wasnt sure from where

and i kinda doubt they were on there way homes from church considering the language they were using and the fact the were wearing ripped up and stained blue jeans and no shirt im not sayin they weren't but i dont see it haha

I don't know how old you are, but you seem awfully young, and/or very inexperienced in "life". I gotta say that your story doesn't make sense, and I am calling BS to some of it, but my reply here is based on if the events actually happened as you claim.

Let's see, you are your cousin are just out getting gas. On you way home, someone you don't recognize is riding on top of your bumper. You take notice of it but blow it off as just an inconsiderate driver, and when you turn onto a different street, they power slide in and bail out of the car, so you turn around and go back? You turned around to go back?? and THEN...You allowed them to get close enough to you to put their hands on you, and yet you have to ask if you did the right thing?

Umm, you didn't do ANYTHING even remotely close to the right thing. You are just lucky it was some dumb kids and not someone that really meant you harm. You could have had you ass kicked, you car taken, or they could have just killed you and left you there for the coroner to take photos of.

So you called the cops and they filed a report eh? Did they file this report over the phone or face to face? Were you at least able to make yourself a good witness and get their tag number? What did the "cops" have to say about you pulling your shotgun on those kids in the middle of the public roadway?

Dude, my advice may not be the best advice out there, but you have a lot of learning to do. You could have easily avoided this entire thing, but you CHOSE to put yourself into a potential gunfight that you would have lost if those kids had been armed and willing to fight. IMO, you went looking for trouble, and you just about found it.

If I were your parents, I would kick your butt myself and take that shotgun away from you because you have demonstrated that your decision making ability is severely limited, and you do not yet act responsible enough to carry a firearm around in your vehicle.

so you turn around and go back? You turned around to go back??
yea i guess honestly my pride got the best of me i should have minded my own business but didnt but i guess i can mark this down as a lesson learned
