good news, it wont feature Ted AssbucketIf I could block the Ted Assbucket part I'd watch it.
Cause a guy called Sweet Tea, I mean Ice T with past controversial records like Cop Killer, and a band called Body Count, is much better of a representative for firearms. If I could block the Ted Assbucket part I'd watch it.
This^If I could block the Ted Assbucket part I'd watch it.
whats your beef with IceT?This^
I don't know much about Uncle Ass Bucket and his heart might be in the right place but he is about the last person I want representing 2A. Ice Taint is not much better either.
I don't have any issue with either of them, I like them both. I just think that they are horrible choices for people to represent 2A issues, they are too polarizing. Have a spokesperson that only appeals to people committed to the "cause" is pointless, you need someone who will appeal to a wider audience and people on the fence, not someone that will drive them to the other side. We need people like Colin Noir, not Ice T and Uncle Ted.whats your beef with IceT?
so you like them both, but want to call them names like "taint"...makes sense......I don't have any issue with either of them, I like them both. One served his country and the other was a draft dodger. One raised his kids himself and one denied his kids until there were adults to avoid child support. hmmmm.Cause a guy called Sweet Tea, I mean Ice T with past controversial records like Cop Killer, and a band called Body Count, is much better of a representative for firearms.
Good thing people can change I guess.
I take both with a grain of salt, but find both interesting as entertainers of reality TV and actors.
The issue itself is divisive, plus we tend to further divide ourselves along cultural lines. It's hard enough just to find a spokesperson who can speak to all sides of the pro-gun issue much less reach across the aisle effectively. IceT is no more a "cop Killer" than he is a NYPD Cop, so IMO he's not a divisive figure unless you can't separate the role from the actor. So far I mostly like what IceT says when he talks about 2A. Not so much with Ted.I just think that they are horrible choices for people to represent 2A issues, they are too polarizing.
But, most people can't. Do you think people would buy fitness videos from 400 pound people, even if they had some kind of authority on the subject?IceT is no more a "cop Killer" than he is a NYPD Cop, so IMO he's not a divisive figure unless you can't separate the role from the actor.
About as much sense as Lori showing up on Falling Skies... I just get irritated when polarizing figures are used to promote 2A, it would be like using Alex Jones to break the IRS story on national TV. Everyone would roll their eyes, change the channel and it would be ignored.so you like them both, but want to call them names like "taint"...makes sense......
as for wider audience - both these guys are recognizable, especially IT with his acting - thats a good pull man
While I really like Noir, he's pretty unknown outside of the gunworld - if someone random saw him they might not give him as much attention/respect vs someone they know
just my opinion.
I never paid much attention to the "cop killer" BS as it was exactly that, BS. I referring to their general demeanor, that's all. Neither Ice T nor Uncle Ted will be able to convey a message to moderates. However someone like Noir or some of the others I have seen (names are escaping me right now) can appeal to that audience. The issue itself is divisive, plus we tend to further divide ourselves along cultural lines.
