LEE COUNTY, N.C. --
Lee County deputies say a man was killed while demonstrating the use of a pistol.
Deputies were called to a home at 454 Willett Road around 12 p.m. Sunday in reference to a shooting.
When they arrived, they found 23-year-old Randall Trent Butler had suffered a single fatal gunshot wound. Witnesses said Butler was demonstrating the function of a pistol he recently got and accidentally shot himself.
Butler was pronounced dead on scene.
