Across from the downtown Manteo waterfront floats Elizabeth II at her home port at Roanoke Island Festival Park. She certainly was pretty, resting at her mooring, lit up so pretty. She almost looks like a small toy, instead of a real sailing vessel.

Here are a few more that I took of Elizabeth II and the Manteo waterfront, that cold and very calm night in late December 2016. The town was very quiet and still, with an occasional sound of distant voices and music coming from one of the small gathering places as someone would open the door to leave. Other than it was very, very quite and I was all alone. I did have a Manteo Police unit cruise by on patrol and wave, but he didn't stop to talk. Anyway, I hope that y'all enjoy these photos!
