Favorite 10mm Pistol

10mm is often described as a "niche" cartridge since it "never really caught on." I know 10mm enthusiasts would strongly disagree with that last remark. However, that is what is often found in the handgun print media. Realistically, 10mm is not very plentiful and it is expensive. It's definitely a hand-loader's cartridge and the factory rounds are said to be "powered down."

So, with all of that being said, what is your favorite 10mm handgun and why? Glock is probably the most plentiful with the 20 and 29. Any Colt Delta fans? How about the Smith and Wesson 610? Anyone lucky enough to have a Bren Ten? How about the EAA Witness?

Glock 20...because it's what I have. :D

My favorite one I don't own is the Bren Ten...simply because I love CZ's.

EAA otoh, I wouldn't touch. My luck with guns is bad enough already, and I hear too many stories of the EAA's cracking frames.

Factory ammo from any of the MAJOR manufacturers does suck, and you almost have to reload to get REAL 10mm ammo...or pay through the nose for it. Underwood Ammunition however, is producing full power ammo at a reasonable price. Cheaper than anyone else's full power stuff that I've seen.

I have always liked the 10mm.when 'Miami Vice first came out Crockett carried a Bren Ten ,I wanted one .A friend had one and he said If you buy the ammo you can shoot it all you want to.I bought 1000 rounds and shot them all up in about 3 weeks.I fell in love with the 10mm .Never could find a bren Ten I could afford.Had to settle for a S&W 1076..Now I have two buddies that also like the 10mm.one has a CZ 1911 in 10mm and the other one has a Kimber in 10mm.darn those guys ,now that I gave shot the 1911,s I want one

Tough choice. I like my G-20, particularly after having a trigger job on it. Accurate-seems to like 9 g of AA # 7 w/ a 200 g fpfmj
I also like my 610 w/ 6" barrel and it has a fluted cylinder. Beautiful pistol as well as being accurate. Just recently got a 1006 which I call my tank but it has a horrible trigger pull in both actions-plan to have a trigger job done on it. Also like my DE but have been shooting the 20 & 1006 and have been neglecting my 610 & DE but plan to rectify that very soon. I have no problems pushing the 1006 to 1200 fps W/ a 200 fp fmj with the tank and would do it with my 610.
I like them all- if I die before my wife, she will sell them as I do not plan to part with any of them!

I've owned one glock 20, and one 20SF. Both were a ball to shoot. Thats my only experience with the 10mm. I'd like to try a Bren, a Delta, an EAA, and Burnedoutgeeks
REVO !

The only one I've ever owned or shot was a glock. I'd love to have a 1911 in 10mm.

29 is snappy, but controllable - the Delta and DW shoot VERY well. Almost can't tell it's a 10mm. The Delta I shot was one of the first ones and ended up cracking the frame before 400 rounds were fired. FWIW - They were real 10mm loads and not the watered down kind though...

I'd like to find another 20, but an SF version ;)

I would definitely need the SF version. Since the 21 is out in the Gen4, I am hoping that they will do the same with the 20.

I've heard about Delta's cracking. Supposedly changing the springs regularly helps with this?

I haven't really looked into the Delta frame issues in a few years. I "think" it was just the early ones. The newer ones I don't think had the frame problems, but maybe that was just because the 10mm were being so loaded down??? If I were to get another 1911 it would be another DW - they are just sooooo nice ;)
