2. Seafood Hut - Calabash, NC

3. Beacon Drive-In - Spartanburg, SC

4. Shatley Springs Inn - Shatley Springs, NC

5. Yadkin Valley Steakhouse - Albemarle, NC

6. Little Bo Club Steakhouse - Ellerbe, NC

7. Bluffs Coffee Shop - Doughton Park on the BRP

8. TarHeel-Q - Between Lexinton & Mocksville on Hwy64 at the Yadkin River

9. The Wild Onion - Randleman, NC

10. Speedy's BBQ - Lexington, NC

DANG...Now I am HUNGRY!

What are your favorite Carolina restaurants?

For pizza: Milano's in Walnut Cove, NC.

For chinese food: China House in Walnut Cove, NC. Right next door to Milano's actually.

For steakhouse: Sagebrush in Winston-Salem. Gotta love the bread & tea.

For hotdogs: Oakley's grill. Technicly in Walnut Cove but closer to Danburry.

For seafood: Duke's in Walnut Cove.

We need a drool emoticon. :D

Pizza: Ciccone's in Advance and on Robinhood Road in Winston-Salem. It's pronounced "chee-choh-nays". :)

Sushi and chinese food: Oriental Cafe on Hanes Mall Blvd in Winston, next to the Office Depot. I also liked Wasabi on West Market in Greensboro

BBQ: Jed's in Thomasville

Weekend Breakfast: Winston's Eatery, downtown Winston-Salem near the Brookstown inn. A good friend of my wife runs it. Be nice.

Fast food: Cookout! Screw the big chains, this is some damn good food.

Fancy Eatin': the Chop House or Bernardins. Was not impressed with 1703 or Meridian.

Fried Fish: That place in Advance in the same shopping center as Ciccone's. Whatsitsname.

you guys know you love that Scottish Bistro

you know from the clan with family colors of red and yellow (MacEntyre, you know 'em don't ya?)

Think it is the McDougals....no no wait its the McDonald's clan....Their 3rd cousin Ronald started that restaurant back in the 50s when they immigrated to America after the Big One.

Well after some time and some struggles they sold out to used car salesman from Arkansas, Steve Croc I think....well Steve can't hold his liquor and ended up losing that restaurant and his wife in a poker game to his half brother Ray Croc.

Well Ray just called it McDonalds, there you go, now that is a Croc....

Good Grief, I forgot about The Palm in Charlotte - EXCELLENT!

Which also reminds me, the best restaurant in Vegas - AJ's Steakhouse at the Hard Rock.
AJ's is great, but I'd have to say the best steakhouse in Vegas (outside of The Palm in Ceasars Palace is a toss up between Delmonico (Emerl's steakhouse in The Venetian) and Charlie Palmer's Steakhouse in Mandalay Bay.

Course Morton's is a close 2nd and Lowery's (The Seasoning Salt folks) is a great steakhouse too in Vegas.

Let me see If i can name a few of mine...

BBQ- Joe's BBQ, Whiteville NC (with VINEGAR based sauce)
Burgers- Ward's Grill, Whiteville NC
Steaks- Longhorn in Burlington is ok, but I can do better on my own grill.
Hotdogs- Roberta's Country Kitchen, Rieglewood, NC
good, CHEAP fast food #1 Ray's Grill, Whiteville NC
good, CHEAP fast food #2 PDQ, Whiteville NC
best pizza #1 Gumby's near NCSU, Raleigh NC
best pizza #2 Vinny's, Hillsborough, NC
best seafood, Darryl's, Manteo NC

Best grilled egg and cheese sandwich... 3 way tie between
Hallsboro Diner, Hallsboro, NC
Burger Hut, Rieglewood NC
Waffle House, Hillsborough NC

I've had the "lexington style" BBQ, and to be honest, it aint hitting on much. If it aint cooked in an oil drum over the fire from an antique burner fresh from an old tobacco barn, it aint BBQ.

Did you mean ZACK'S in Burlington, NC ? They are good. The Chuckwagon in Carthage, NC has better ones though.

If any of you are near Albermarle, NC give the Yadkin Valley Steakhouse a try. It might change your mind about the best NC steakhouse.

Yeah I meant Zack's, you speak blasphamy against them by suggesting better. They make the best hotdog chili in the state hands down.

I can't let this go without mentioning two places in WS.

Pulliams...the best hot dogs in the world IMHO
Bell Brothers...the best country food cafeteria in the world...again IMHO.

And the best part (or worst) is they are a block away from each other on Liberty Street / Old Walkertown Road. The worst part is choosing which one
