I totally agree that harming cops is the wrong way to approach this whole thing, however you have to remember these are people who feel the whole community luncheon idea wont work and will only lead more people telling them their issues with the department arent real. I mean does anyome expect their concerns to be heard and handled by those in leadership who are comfortable enough to have racially insensitive discussion over city owned computers/networks.

Not accusing you of WP, just pointing out the difference between what you experienced 25yrs ago and what some experience daily. The distinction is important so you don't have people confusing the For Profit abuses Ferguson had going on with the For Profit antics of the various small towns across the country who target out of towners with speeding tickets.

Oh, this really chaps my rear.
The entire tit-for-tat twitter battles by our elected "representatives" has just ticked me off for years now.
Debating with 140 characters at a time just shows what? The electorate has the attention span of a ferret after a double cappuccino.

That would be great but it's impossible because Ferguson PD has arrested every able bodied black male in town at some point or another.

The black folks in Ferguson fear the police department. That is the way it is right or wrong and that really sucks. I pity their situation. Getting caught up in the St Loius county justice system sounds like a nightmare for a poor person.

My take is just like Bill O'reilly's. I was suprised to see him voicing this opinion this evening.

I think these shooter or shooters are socialist agitators. The agenda is to force a police state upon us. And it may work. They'll do this anywhere they're able.

O'reilly's take on Soros funded Ferguson shooters this evening.

Isn't this a contradiction? If the arrest and ticketing statistics show that all races get proportionally the same amount of infractions and that no one race is arrested or ticket more than any other, then what you are dealing with is a perception problem, not a tangible one.

I agree on the face of it, though I still have a fundamental problem with the entire concept of complaining about the people in power without making an effort to become the person in power.

The people of Ferguson may have real issues with the PD, they may have just as many issues as any other town/city. That doesn't really matter. What matters is that this is one of the few countries in this world where a person living in the projects has as much a right to cause change as anyone else. If you and your neighbors are not happy with your local police department, there is nothing stopping you from running for office positions that put you in a place where you can start trying to fix what you think is broken. If an entire community is so unhappy with their police department, I just don't understand why no one is running for city council, or sheriff, or any other position that can put the apparent concerns of the community at the forefront.

Obviously it isn't as simple as "just voting", but the power is at their disposal and I'm sure you get my point.

But that wasn't the conclusion many have drawn from the report... some obviously have though.

Just reminds me of the quote "Sometimes life is hard and unfair, and sometimes there is no one to blame but yourself because you are stupid and made bad decisions."

Absolutely valid point and one I've been making since August. We must keep in mind though that options are limited to who is on the ballot. Hopefully this mess will change many people's minds about the importance of local elections.

Is your contention that I'm somehow stupid because I read the report and have come to different conclusions than you?

No. But if your first reaction is to be offended, then you are proving my point.

I was merely asking a clarifying question. Have you actually read the report?

The report is like a Bible or Rules Book in Racing,,,Everyone interprets it to what benefits them the most.

My comment had nothing to do with the content of the report.

Oh okay, I guess I misunderstood what you meant with the below because you quoted my comment and mine did.

    However....
I do agree with "this doesn't exist where the community and the police have a healthy relationship". I'm guessing that was NOT the case in Ferguson.

    Before anybody asks....

No, I haven't read it. Don't really care to.

Something I may have missed. In the report, are conviction statistics kept?

Probably just some stupid idiots that hate authority, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was the communists or someone paid buy them trying to stir stuff. They need social injustice and unrest, and will cause it. The communists have been in a lot of the protests, as their organization's signs have been everywhere in these protests.

Just heard on CNN that they are looking for two local suspects, one of which is believed to be the shooter. Apparently they were spotted at the protest last night and some of the participants are working with police to locate them.
