I just purchased a Bravo Company mid length upper w/ 16" barrel. I am trying to decide what rail to purchase and started doing my research. It is OVERWHELMING, the number of options that are available! At this point I know I will probably removed the FSB and replace it with a low-profile gas block. I also want to have a rail that is 12" to 14". But after that i am not sure what I want.

So, I am looking to you fine folks to give me some ideas to ponder! Pictures are good! Help an AR brother out!!

Thanks in advance for the feedback! ;toast

Buy the Yankee Hill Machine diamond rail, then send it and your upper to Wahoo95. Have him shave the FSB and install handguard.
Wahoo is a great guy and has already been helpful with his AR advice, but I want to do the work myself. I'll have to give the diamond rail a look. Thanks!

Are you looking for a quad rail or more of a continuous upper rail?
My current PSA carbine has an 11" quad rail, but I kind of like the look of the Troy Alpha rail type design. I think I want to keep this build a little lighter in weight.

I've got the Troy Alpha 13" on my 6.8 & love it. Slender & light weight. I'm never gonna hang 12lbs of crap off my gun & didn't see the need for a quad rail.
This is the direction I am leaning towards right now.

Show me pictures of what you got! Keep the info coming....THANKS!!

The picture below is my current set-up on my PSA 16" M4 Carbine. I added the PSA SQR 11" Quad Rail. Other than being a little heavy, I really like the way it turned out. The length is about the shortest I would want. Since this picture I have moved the AFG to the front of the rail. Still not ready to buy a rail for my "new" BCM mid-length upper. Again, I THINK I like the "Troy Alpha-style" rail, but SO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM!!! ;omg

Well, I bought a 13" Troy VTAC Alpha rail at the Dixie show. I made the decision to go with FDE color scheme on this build. I'll post pics when I get it done.

Post up pictures of your ARs with floating rails. Make this a good reference thread!

THANKS for all the good feedback!

Here is what it looks like....

Looks great! Hope you like it!
Thanks! So far, so good!! ;toast

Thats a solid rifle and set up! What sling you going with?
Thank you! Funny you ask about the sling....I am now in sling / sling mount research mode. If I was leaning right now, it would be towards the Vicking Tactical (VTAC) or Blue Force (VCAS) dual point slings. I found a link a while back about a company that offers a kit to where you can transition this style dual point sling to a single point. But I can't remember where it was. Recommendations?

Looks good here's mine

Very nice! Very similar!!

I prefer the Vickers Sling with or without QD mounts. Impact Weapons (IWC) makes the 2-1 Adapter you're thinking of. I have an extra VTAC QD mount if you're looking for one.
Impact Weapons...That's it! You are always there to help...THANKS!

If it is the mount shown below, I would be very interested. PM with your price...Thanks again!!
