Well I took the opportunity to try some of that Frog Lube and have been using it for different things for the past couple months so decided its time to write a review of the product and my experiences.

I started out using it on my M&P9 for both cleaning and lubrication. So far I am impressed with its ability to clean carbon and lead from my pistol. Per the insrtuctions for deep cleaning and protection I choose to heat my parts then apply the Frog Lube and let it soak in for a few minutes before wiping it off. Any carbon or grime that was on the parts before are all wiped away leaving behind a nice slick and protective coating. I've found it to be great at cleaning barrels. No more need for solvents as I simply run this thru a warm bore with a brass brush followed by a few patches and I'm left with a sparkling clean bore thats seems to be easier to clean on subsequent cleanings.

Next, I began using it on my .22lr AR Conversion Bolt made by CMMG. I fully disassembled the kit and let it lay out in the sun long enough to get nice and hot. Like the M&P, I then coated everything with Frong Lube and allowed it to soak in for about 15min. I wiped it all down and reassembled. Since applying Frog Lube I have noticed that the carbon does not stick as easily to the parts and cleanings now no longer require a blast of brake cleaner.....simple wipe down with a soft towel is all thats needed. The SS Kit also runs reliably dry so no need to add oils which will cause problems as it gets dirty.

My latest use of Frog Lube came tonight when my sister in law decided to drop off her pistol to me for cleaning. Well apparently she'd spilled a botle of water in her purse about a week ago and never thought to take her pistol out of the purse and dry it off. End result is what you see pictured below in the "Before" picture. Well I wasn't sure what I was gonna do to get it cleaned up but finally decided I would see what Frog Lube would do with the rust since its seems to clean things really well. I disassembled the pistol and placed the parts on a pan in the oven to get them nice and warm. Once warm I coated everything in Frog Lube and back to the oven for 5min. I removed the parts and took some 0000 Steel Wool to the rusted areas while everything was still coated in Frog Lube. After a scrub with steel wool, I wiped everything down with a soft towel and to my amazement the pistol was cleaned better than new! Additionally, everything has a nice protective coating on it which hopefully will prevent future issues with rust.

I haven't tried it yet on my AR's, however I will most likely give it a shot in the very near future. In the meantime, if anyone wants to give Frog Lube a try give Joey a shout over at Warsport as he stocks it and has taken excellent care of me!

Its been awhile since I had seen anything on frog lube and I just started looking at it again so thanks for the good timing on the review. You said that you're using it to clean and lube so are you forgoing any kind of oil on the gun (rails and such)?

I have been using it exclusively for a couple months on my handguns also and am very happy with it. Does not seem to be a need to use any other products, it does it all. If I have time this weekend the AR is getting stripped, cleaned and getting its first application of F.L. As an added bonus, no more hearing the GF or Wife complaining about smells while cleaning weapons it smells kind of like wintergreen.

A little dab on the rails works great for lube. FL really does Clean Lube Protect.

+1 for Froglube, Gunzilla is prettyu good too. As a matter of fact, I need to order some more of the Frog.
I actually like Gunilla for cleaning but ran out of it a while back.

Wahoo, i have been running frog lube in all my firearms for a little over a year, and i agree with you're assessment. go ahead and slap some on you're ar's too, i think you will be happy with the results.
i used the paste for my first and second treatment and to lube friction points after cleaning. i'll take a bottle of the liquid with me to the range and squirt a little down the bore and on the bolt while it's still hot before i pack up. this stuff really is an all in one CLP.

Wahoo great review! I'm really glad you got to spend some time with the product.

Once we get our testing equipment in, we will be testing and measuring the "increased velocity" claim using barrels seasoned with FrogLube against barrels with other gun oil types.

This winter, if it gets cold enough, we will be performing test on the gel to liquid effect.

Welp, off to do some night shooting.

You plan on bringing some to Costa's class. I'd like to pick some up.

Wahoo, what temp did you have the oven set on before placing the parts on the tray? (I plan to just place parts in the sun to warm them up, but was curious about the oven.)

Thanks for the review. I got some frog lube from Joey at WarSport that I will have to try out.

i don't have much hair, so i use the oven. i drop my small parts in a metal colander.when it heated up good, i'll set the colander on tin foil and brush on the paste.

4 oz Frog Lube- Warsport -total - $16.14 (5.20 shipping + 0.69 NC Tax)
PU- Products -total -$14.75 (3.75 shipping and no NC Tax)
Yep, buying from Warsport will cost you a whopping $3.53 more all while supporting a board member and sponsor.....just saying. I'd rather support a board member/sponsor when the price difference is that small.
