Up for sale is my trusty 140 Commander. Great fishing platform, camping vehicle, or just plain fun recreation kayak. It's a forest green, 14' hybrid kayak you can sit-in or slide the seat under the bulkhead and sit on top. Its hull is also designed to be stable standing up on flat water. I've done it in 5mph currents too. You'd have to try to flip this bad boy. Carries 450# easily and surprisingly fast and easy to turn for its size. Bought from a member here last summer. Been a great boat, but I have too many now. Has the mounting block for a motor/rudder kit installed in the rear, as well as skirts fore and aft that I added over the last year. Aft skirt is a storage bag also. Also comes with a lighting kit and anchor I like for night fishing. Also a homemade portage cart I designed based on the hull shape that breaks down. Lots of tie downs and rigging points for the slide track system. You can mount just about anything to it. Even have a couple carpeted boards that were made to create a deck inside it. Great for keeping your gear dry and my dog loves them. with the sit-in seat forward a kid could sit on the perch as well. I can carry a full loadout of camping gear for a week and my boxer/pit easily. Super comfy adjustable seat that's great all day.
Not a new boat. The usual scuffs and weathering from use. Always stored indoors though. Nothing serious. Never been punctured. Needs a bath. It's pretty muddy from the Cape Fear. I'll clean it up before it's sold.
The basic version runs $1100 new, not including the couple hundred bucks in skirts and such.
Asking $650 for it around SE Raleigh/Garner area. With the condition and extra stuff that's more than a fair price. A lot of kayak for the money.
working on pics, here are a couple videos about it...
