I had a 4wd Tacoma for a while... Took it to some sand roads I used to play around on with my Subaru doing 60+ mph. At about 40 I nearly stuffed it into a tree. That darn light rear end just wasnt the same. When I left the job requiring the truck it promptly got sold and I can play on loose surface again.

I've been home all day... But that explains the girly screaming coming from upstairs. Must have been you.

Lol!!! It's funny. I moved to NC from WV in 1986. I've lived half of my life here in NC. Usually when I'm out and about during a snow storm (I won't drive in ice) I'll see vehicles off in ditches or crashed and quite a few of them are 4WD trucks and SUV's.

 

Swain County was not that bad. Did not see anyone in ditch. Left house just after 7, car lives in carport, but windshield iced up before defroster warmed up. scrapped it at my office before wife left for her office.
Work was dismissed at 10:00, main roads wet but not iced. Driveway is now iced over.
