Just randomly, apparently the AG is stopping reciprocity with 20 other states including NC, SC, PA, OH, TN. So now I'll have to get the Utah non resident to be able to carry in NC.

Get me the F out of this godforsaken craphole of a state. Cant wait to move back to NC next year.

Will I be able to carry through VA with a Utah out-of-state permit as an SC resident when I'm traveling to OH or WV?

I figured Maryland would leach into VA eventually.

The change means NC CHP will no longer be accepted in Va, VA permits will still be fine in NC. NC recognizes all permits from all states. SO you are fine in Va to come to NC it is us in NC that are screwed if we want to travel north for some reason.

I would assume NC folks passing through would not be able to carry concealed. I regularly go into Galax, Hillsville and other small towns in that area.

We also all need to contact their tourism department and let them know that since Virginia is No Longer for lovers but seems to be now for criminals that we will not be visiting their state or spending our tourism dollars there.

Yep if he does this our NC CHP will not be valid in VA, their residents will be able to come here with their permits though. NC really screwed it when they gave reciprocity to everyone even if they did not give us reciprocity.

Ahh, I got it backwards then. Since I have a VA CCW (for now) I can still carry in NC, but when I get my NC permit next year again I wont be able to carry in VA.

Still makes me furious. It was EXTREMELY easy to get a ccw here, I just had to show my previous CCW and my wife just had to show her hunters safety cert, then boom they mailed you a permit.

Haha according to the list, they'll keep reciprocity with Utah because they don't have "weak" handgun permit regulations. My Utah CWP was far easier to get and much quicker than my SC CWP. Stupid
