And the banks should tell them "We will start listening to you tell us what to do, when you listen to us tell you what to do"

Rahm would love that.

Problem is the banks took their money to begin with...

Just like in the Godfather...

Congratulations, Chicago. You keep giving power to these scumbag progressive activists, and they keep making your city look like Soviet Moscow.

It seems to me that this sort of pressure tactic is more than unethical, it should be illegal.

Government should not co-opt one industry to harm another.

Honestly, it aggravates the hell out of me to see Ram sticking his nose in this. It is not any of his business what the banks or gun companies do. He still thinks he is Obammy's left hand man in the white house. Funny thing, when all that "bank Control" for our good passed into law, then the gov. thinks they can run around and tell the banks how to do business. Seeing his previous employer, he thinks he can still wield that power. I'd like to see the banks tell him to go to hell!

I think it very well could be illegal, just as price fixing is illegal. But will any atty general even look in that direction? And this is Chicago we're talking about. Not a chance Obama would allow any heat on them.

Government at any level can make life a living hell for any business in / under their jurisdiction. As someone who works in the regulatory compliance dept. of a large company, I have seen what can happen when the smallest of the little dictators and any level of government decides he / she does not like you, the reason does not matter.

The fact is, they can tie up tons of your resources just answering information request, conducting audits, assessing monetary penalties (you don't owe it but you have to prove you don't) holding back on approvals, and on and on and on. It cost them nothing because it is all paid for by the tax payers. It can go on for years. So you win in the end, but a what cost? In the meantime the little Hitler who just doesn't like your company for whatever reason, has no fear for he / she can't be fired.

I will say in a fairness, that most government employees I have to deal with are honest hard working folks just like you and I, but I do consider myself very lucky in that regard.

If the banks withold credit and banking, maybe a rational bank will take part of the action.

Maybe a grass roots syndicate to have freedom respecting individuals provide the credit lines for certain gun companies. I mean if sales continue to go like they have (i.e., full retard), maybe there's some money to be made by us peons.
